Liu Nian born on February 2, 2001, in Zhengzhou, Henan Province, also known as Nian Nian, is a Chinese actress and pop singer a first-generation member of AKB48 Team SH. She studied at Chengdu University of Technology before taking a two-year leave to focus on her performing career and later transferred to Sichuan University of Media and Communications to continue studies in Performance.
Liu Nian began her career as an idol by joining AKB48 China as a trainee on March 27, 2018. She officially became a first-generation member of AKB48 Team SH on July 24, 2018 marking the start of her public music career. She debuted with the group on December 3, 2018 performing the song "Love Trip" at their press conference. She contributed to various singles and EPs including First Day, Charge! Girls, and the album 365 Days of Continuous Love, achieving multiple center positions and substantial popularity within the 48-group fanbase. On February 2, 2023 Liu Nian released her digital solo single "Huayu Zhe" during her idol career, highlighting her vocal style and popularity as a solo artist.
After leaving AKB48 Team SH, Liu Nian focused on acting, appearing in numerous Chinese web dramas and short series, often in leading roles. She continues to star in multiple ongoing and upcoming projects in 2025–2026, often portraying main characters in web dramas such as Go, My Girl, How Dare You!?, Lingering in Mind, Love in a Puff, and Zao Gao, He Gui Mi Yi Qi Chuan Shu Hou Ba Fan Pai Wan Er Huai Le.
