Gu Mingyi born in Yancheng City, Jiangsu Province, is a Chinese actress who pursed her passion for acting academically, enrolled into the Performance program with a double major in Musical Theatre at the Communication University of China in September 2019. She went to Busan, South Korea to advance her musical training internationally at Dongseo University. During her studies in Busan she performed in various Broadway-style musicals, enhancing her stage performance and presence, graduating in June 2024 after returning to China in 2023.
While in South Korea in 2022 she began her screen career. She appeared in Hôtel de la Déesse, a slightly fantasy-tinged suspense series, playing the role of Demon Cat. Su Wuming venu des Tang, portraying Ye Qing. In the same year, she performed in the musical Le Mandala des Mystères de la Dynastie Tang, taking on the role of Madame Chen alongside noted performers Zong Juntao and Huang Zihongfan.
